Physiotherapy through Health Insurance

Having health insurance can be the difference between recovering from an injury effectively and efficiently through a trusted physiotherapy practice, or relying on lengthy waiting times through the NHS.

With a health insurance policy, the policy holder can self-refer, meaning there is no need for a GP referral. This does cut out time-consuming appointments, creating an easy process for the patient to start their physiotherapy treatment.

Health insurance policy holders can expect the benefit to going straight through to a physiotherapist of their choice to start with their recovery treatment. The amount of sessions provided does depend on the level of cover taken out.

Health Insurance Treatment Through The Physio Rooms

The Physio Rooms are approved providers for most insurance companies, including: BUPA, Aviva, AXA, Vitality, IPRS, CIGNA, TTN and Simply Health. With Simply Health Cash Plan customers being the most common that we treat.

With every single one of our patients we always ensure the process is as easy as possible. We deal with the claim payment from the relevant insurance company, invoicing them as soon as we receive the pre-authorisation details. This streamlines the process by cutting out any missed time, ensuring our patients can start treatment as soon as possible.

If the cover held by the client is inadequate to receive the full treatment needed, we apply for additional sessions - meaning we can continue with the treatment keeping the patient’s recovery in mind. We want to ensure every patient finalises their treatment to enable to best chance of prevention of their injury worsening/returning.

Treatment

The treatment a patient can expect through an health insurance claim will include physiotherapy and strength and conditioning sessions if required, as we have clinics based in gym environment. This helps to allow the demonstration of rehabilitation and strength sessions. This is to ensure the patient has the best possible treatment to aid them with their recovery from their injury.
