Physiotherapy treatment incorporates a combination
of the following: Manual Therapy - Treatment of joint, soft
tissue and neural dysfunction by mobilisation, stretching and
soft tissue release. Pilates - One to one Pilates classes are
available to restore correct movement patterns and posture and
to improve core strength and control, particularly useful for
clients with back pain. Exercise Provision - All treatment sessions
are complemented with the provision of a home exercise programme
to achieve faster recovery times and encourage self management. Post operative Rehabilitation - Treatment
to aid recovery following spinal and joint surgery. Exercise and
manual therapy to restore joint range of movement, muscle strength
and function. Postural Correction - Poor postures and alignment,
both at home and at work, can aggravate symptoms. Physiotherapy
can improve muscle function and decrease mechanical stress to
the body via postural correction. Ergonomics - Assessment and correction of
the work station is essential to help reduce stresses to the musculoskeletal
system. Sitting at a poorly positioned work station may aggravate
symptoms. We are available to undertake ergonomic assessments
within the work place. Strapping - The use of tape to support soft
tissue and joint injuries to accelerate healing and allow continued
function with reduced pain. Electrotherapy - The treatment of joint and
soft tissue injuries via ultrasound.
