IMG_2358Camilla is an Italian Physiotherapist living in Brighton who is registered with HCPC and CSP. She graduated from the University of Bologna (Italy) and has more than five years of professional experience. She has worked with several Italian clinics and hospitals as a Physiotherapist.

At the beginning of her professional experience, she worked in a Private Hospital in Bologna. She treated patients affected by various acute pathologies such as neurological disorders (resulting from stroke, brain injury, traumatic spinal cord injury, head trauma, brain tumors); orthopedic diseases (patients with limb impairments: results of arthroplasty and osteosynthesis and skeletal polytrauma) and vascular diseases (patients with amputated limbs). During her first year of professional practice, she carried out several rehabilitation treatments such as passive motion, active assisted motion, muscle strengthening exercises, rehabilitation of the motor gesture, recovery of gait, joint mobilization, pulmonary rehabilitation, neurorehabilitation.

She further deepened her professional knowledge and skills such as professional judgment, “absorbing” and expressing positive professional attitudes, the Core Value of Accountability, Altruism, Excellence, Professional Duty, Integrity and Empathy.

Subsequently, she focused her attention to the treatment of Sport related pathologies. She has worked for four years for private clinics specialised in the treatment of sports related injuries and orthopedic diseases. She has specialised in musculoskeletal and sport pathologies (degenerative joint diseases, foot and ankle pain and sprains, hip, wrist, elbow, pelvic and other fractures, knee sprains, strains and other injuries, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, tendinopathies , traumatic injuries), spine disorders (back and neck pain, sciatica, disc herniation, arthritis of the spine, spinal stenosis, post-spine surgery) and postural disorder.

Camilla is qualified and confident in the use of high-tech instruments for pain relief and functional recovery such as electrotherapy (interference, diadynamic and galvanic currents, T.E.N.S., Iontophoresis, neuromuscular electrical stimulation), infrared radiation, laser therapy He-Ne (Helium-Neon), laser therapy CO2, laser therapy Nd: YAG (neodymium), localized or total body magnetotherapy, tecartherapy, therapeutic ultrasound (fixed or mobile head, massaged, in water), paraffin therapy.
